[Book of Mormon] Turn It Off (1/2)

OK, so remember that fic that I thought was lost? Well, it's no longer lost. It's finished. ^_^ And… hm. Well, it's not quite as schmoopy puppy love as I initially thought, but there is some of that, at least… and the ending is awful schmoopy. *unsure but game smile* *coughs* Anyway, Book of Mormon fic #2, set nominally within the same universe as "No Exit," but you don't have to read that one to understand what's going on in this one. ^_^

Title: Turn It Off
Fandom: The Book of Mormon, a Broadway musical
Pairing: Elder McKinley/Elder Price
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: Total: 18,171, Part 1: 8,778
Warnings: SPOILERS!!. Slash, angst, reference to what General Butt F'ing Naked did to Elder Price.

Disclaimer: Neither the musical nor the boys belong to me, if they did, Elder McKinley would have a boyfriend by the end of the show… and it would probably be Elder Price. ^_~ ((Book of Mormon was written by Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez.))

Summary: "Where's your 'nifty, little Mormon trick,' now, huh? What good is it if you can't use it when you need it most?"

(FIC) Day Dream (1/1)

Title: Day Dream
Author: GlasgowSmiles
Fandom: The Scarlet Pimpernel
Pairing: Lord Anthony Dewhurst/Armand St. Just
Rating: PG, since I do go ahead and mention torture a tiny bit
Word Count: 689
Summary: Set at the very end of the musical. While Marguerite and Percy have their lovey-dovey reprise on the voyage home, her brother gets romanced as well. First person, Dewhurst's POV.
Author's Note: Wow. In all the time I've been here and with all the things I 'ship, I never wrote anything 'til now... Anyway, I just saw a fabulous local production of this show, in which our Dewhurst and Armand kind of accidentally turned out sort of slashy. (which is weird, because honestly, they barely spend any time together aside from big group numbers with all the boys) So now I totally 'ship it, like burning. No one else does, which is sad, but I hold out hope that someday someone else will. My plan is to continue writing about them, since I've sort of planned out more of the recovery... So consider this something of an introduction to a longer little saga.

HairFanfiction.net

First off, I am so glad to see that new people are writing Hair stories! :D This makes me extremely happy.

Secondly, for those few of you who utilized the site, I'm sorry about the abrupt disappearance of the Hair fanfic archive I made. Short version of the really long story? My webhost decided to be an idiot and delete it. And of course, for the first time in forever, I had forgotten to back it up. *sigh*

Anyway, I've got the shell of it back up and running again with a new webhost, but I'm not thrilled with the one I'm using. So, before I re-upload everything, I wondered if anyone has a good (cheap!) webhost that they can recommend? I'd be grateful. Feel free to leave a comment here or e-mail me @ chibi1723@hotmail.com.

Thanks for your time and happy writing everyone!

[Priscilla, Queen of the Desert] Reconcilable Differences (1/1)

Well... here we go. A new day, a new fandom. This was kind of a given once I saw the musical and it was cemented after I saw it three times in one weekend. Of course... my ficcing tendencies didn't go quite in the direction that I was expecting (then again, when do they ever? :P), but I'm pretty happy with where they went, so I'm not complaining.

For those of you who haven't seen either the movie or it's new stage adaptation (and why the hell haven't you? D:), The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is about two drag queens and a transsexual who get on a bus and cross the Australian Outback to get to a gig in Alice Springs -- which is in the back end of nowhere. They get into a series of adventures as they travel, each more ridiculous and unlikely as the next, and in so doing, become a tightly-knit, loving -- if dysfunctional -- family. Tony Sheldon (Bernadette), Will Swenson (Tick) and Nick Adams' (Adam) portrayal of the hapless trio is phenomenal. They are perfect, each and every one of them and I can not recommend this musical enough. ^_^ And if you can't get to NY or London and see the show, at least do yourself a favor and rent the movie. It's pure camp, but it's a beautiful, heart-warming story and I adore it. ^_^

*/end shameless plugging*

Fandom: Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
Pairing: Erm... nothing concrete? Mostly gen, believe it or not.
Rating: PG-13 for references to the events in Coober Pedy.
Word Count: 3,961
Warnings: Slash... sort of? Gender-bending and transsexuals, definitely. Allusion to an attack/attempted rape.

Disclaimer: Neither the musical, the movie nor the boys (or girls ^_^) belong to me. If they did they'd be groping each other on sta--. *pause* *blinkblink* Huh. Look at that... they do. *eg* :D ((The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert was written by Stephen Elliott and adapted for the stage by Stephen Elliott and Allen Scott.))

Summary: 'There is something about the way he is sitting there, curled up and miserable by the campfire, that provokes an unwilling twang of sympathy from me.' Bernadette's thoughts after Adam's attack in Coober Pedy.

I am but new, but I am fierce

How amazing is it that I find this community the day that I awaken to the wonders of Anchors Aweigh, a musical just begging to be slashed to pieces? So amazing I can't even tell you.

Title: Awkward Tales of an Awkward Sailor
Fandom: Anchors Aweigh (film)
Pairing: what else? Joe/Clarence!!!

Merrily We Roll Along

So my school is putting on a production of Merrily We Roll Along, and Stephen Sondheim came to speak to us!

...and everything he said promptly made me start shipping Frank/Charley SO HARD I can't even.

Has anyone seen it? Does anyone agree? Is there fic out there? It's a pretty obscure show, so idk...

[Hair] The Zorya (Master Post and Chapter List)

Some of you may have heard that I took on the sequel to The Algea as a NaNoWriMo project. Well... I succeeded. Enjoy? ^_^

Title: The Zorya -- click the link for information about this trinity. ^_^
Fandom: Hair, the musical: 2009 Revival
Pairing: Berger/Claude/Sheila
Rating: PG-13 for some kissing, really very mild stuff, though... even for me.
Word Count: 62,249
Warnings: Slash (as always ^_^), angst

Disclaimer: Neither the musical nor the boys belong to me, if they did they'd be groping each other on sta--. *pause* *blinkblink* Huh. Look at that... they do. *eg* :D ((Hair was written by James Rado and Gerome Ragni with music by Galt MacDermot.))

Summary: Berger and Sheila are a broken triangle, desperately missing their third side. But is Claude well enough to fill his usual place? Only time will tell.

( Fake Cut to the Master Post and Chapter List )

Chapters will probably go up every other day or so and there will probably be about six of them when all is said and done. I'm still trying to figure out how to break this sucker up. :-P

Enjoy and please remember... comments and reviews are love!
